As most of you know we have recently purchased our first home. We`ve been working hard to make everything to our taste and style, but as many of you know that`s always a bit difficult to do right away; at least getting it all done at once. So we`re just taking things step by step and fixing things up as we go along. I mean after all, all we have to do is make it into OUR house, there`s no actual repair work that need to be done *knock on wood*. We simply need to get things arranged how we like them and stuff of that nature.
Any-who, Curtains & Bath Outlet
were kind enough to give us a helping hand on that journey. They sent me the beautiful Charlotte Lace Curtain Set
which includes two 44"W x 38"L Lace waterfall valances and two 56"W x 63"L Lace panels for once of my windows. Not only did they send me a set, but one of you can win a set as well! How awesome is that?!
About Curtain & Bath
The Ann & Hope - Curtain & Bath Outlet Internet store is the latest extension of one of the pioneers of discount retailing in America. In 1953, Irwin Chase and his father, Martin, opened their first store in an old textile mill in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The building and store were named after a ship, the Ann and Hope, which was lost at sea off of Block Island, Rhode Island in 1806.
Originally, Martin Chase operated a ribbon manufacturing business on the third floor of the Ann and Hope building. When a lower cost ribbon was developed that would later make the Chase`s ribbon style obsolete, the ribbon business was closed, and the remaining ribbon was sold at a discount to tenants in the building. Word of mouth quickly spread, and the Chases added additional lines of merchandise.
The Company was built on the philosophy of buying large volumes of merchandise, and selling it at a discount. Since Ann and Hope`s prices were very low, they had to have low operating expenses. As a result, the Chases implemented several innovations. One of those changes was the use of central checkouts that are now commonly found in most discount stores. Another was the use of shopping carts in a discount store setting.
Today, the second and third generations of Ann and Hope`s founders operate 11 Curtain & Bath stores in 3 New England states. In addition to these stores the company runs other concepts such as Dollar Outlet and the Garden Outlet. While you may no longer be able to buy everything from food to stereos to sporting goods under one roof, each store has an outstanding selection of products at prices that are the lowest you will find anywhere. Some things never change!
We decided to use these to dress up our bedroom. Please excuse the poor paint job, we did that to cover up the ugly funky green paint the original owners had the night before we moved in and we`re too tired to do another coat that night. Yes, more work for us later when we have to move things and do a section at a time, but hey it got rid of the puke split pea green with blotches in it! Plus we want to get some sort of border for around the edges. So yes, the paint does suck at the moment, but this isn`t about our painting skills is it?
I love to have light coming into the room which is what makes me love these curtains. It`s a smaller sized master bedroom with one window, so of course I don`t want it to be dark and covered up. The lace curtains allow light to easily flow through as I like it without having to pull the windows all open. Not that it matters for us to open the window since there`s really nobody directly behind us, but that`s not the point. The waterfall valances that match the panels just give it that little "something extra" so they don`t look like plain white curtains. I`m the type that loves things to look nice on a cheap budget. I`m sure many of you can relate to that. Which brings me to my next thing...
The cost? AFFORDABLE! At just $8.99 per panel and $4.99 per waterfall, these can definitely fit into our budget! That`s just $27.96 for the whole window. Plus you have to remember that there`s no sales tax when you ship online.
These curtains I can say are high quality for low budget costs. I love the details within the lace and the detailed trim along the sides. I would have never known about the whole waterfall valances if it weren`t for Curtains & Bath Outlet and now I love them! To dress my curtains up a step further I went ahead and took some fancy looking curtain ties, you know those things that help hold the curtains open and hung one on each side of the curtain at the top off the rode. They came off my original curtains I had hanging. I figured at least until we do something with the border of our paint job.
Needless to say I had a very positive experience with this company. Not only did I receive great customer service with timely shipping; I also received high quality products that are affordable to my readers. I love my curtains and how they helped bring more light into our space. Looking for something other than curtains? They have a large variety of decor and household goods to choose from at great prices! Thanks Curtain & Bath Outlet for an excellent opportunity!
