If you`re a new or first time parent learning to understand your baby can be a challenge. While it doesn`t take too long to learn what each cry means for each child, a little help to figure it out is always nice. It`s especially frustrating when more experienced parents are able to tell more of what your child is crying about than you. Been there done that! Well the Pocket Nanny

is here to help new parents and one awesome reader gets to have a chance at owning their own as well!
Itzbeen Pocket Nanny was designed by parents for parents. It has a host of helpful features that combine to make caring for a newborn baby a little bit easier. It`s a multi-purpose tool designed to help new parents learn, remember, and communicates the basic details of baby-care. Many new parents are over-whelmed and over-tired, and have a difficult time recalling simple tasks like: how long ago they changed a diaper, fed the baby, or gave the baby medication.
Itzbeen Pocket Nanny is not about putting babies on schedules, nor is it intended to relieve parents of their duty and responsibilities in assessing the needs of their baby. Â On the contrary, Â the goal was to develop a simple baby care timer that would help first time moms and dads become better parents, and to make the job of being a new parent a little easier.
So what do I think?Â
It`s a simple but definitely helpful gadget in my opinion. After a few minutes of fooling around with the pocket nanny (and not reading the instructions) I was able to figure out how it operates. There is a built in night light to read in the dark as well as the ability to turn its light off after seven minutes, which is really handy as a new, sleep deprived parent. The alarms are great because you can set it to make a beeping alarm, or turn it off and have visual (blinking light) alarm. All you have to do to use this device is press a button once after a diaper change, nursing/feeding, sleep or awake, or medication or other tasks. Once you press the button the timer begins and will continue going until you press it again.
The button lock on the side prevents you from accidentally resetting timers, which when you`re half asleep is very much necessary. It allows for optional alarms which allows you to set a maximum time limit for each timer task. This is perfect help for baby-sitters and sleep deprived parents of course. If a time limit is reached, the appropriate timer button will light up to remind you. If you turn the speaker switch on then you can hear it beeping as well. Also, there`s a back clip which makes it easy to carry the pocket nanny around on your pants or belt for convenience.
Needless to say I am quite pleased with the product. Although we won`t be using it til baby Drewes comes out near or around October, it`s definitely a product I will be using. I know when you`re trying to do a million and one things at once it`s easy to loose track of things, even simple things with how long it`s been since you fed the baby or gave it any medication it may need. Simple things like this may be intended for new parents, but I think it will also be helpful for busy, on-the-go, non-stop parents as well. I DEFINITELY recommend it! It works great, light weight and easy to use! a Rafflecopter giveaway
