The images above are just 3 of the 100's of photos I took last night to check out the moon so you can see the camera is still holding up well. The battery life is AMAZING. While the camera is decent, the only thing I have been using this particular camera is just for photos of the moon. Yes, I've explored for other items, and while it's also decent for outdoor images, I much prefer my
Canon T6i for everyday blog work.
The Nikon CoolPix 900 is lightweight, easy to use, and balances to much better on a tripod than one of those huge telephoto lenses that I'd normally need for taking such great photos. For the average price is just under $500 for the camera, I promise you, it's worth it if you're into moon photos but you're also on a budget. I've tried cheapy telephoto lens attachments for my Canon and they didn't produce this quality despite having a bigger zoom. So I'm not saying this is the best camera for taking moon photos, however, for those on a budget, you can't go wrong!
