JCPenney has filed for bankruptcy - what does this mean for shoppers?
JCPenney has officially announced that they have declared bankruptcy - a final blow courtesy of COVID19 to an already struggling store. The company was founded in 1902 and has survived over 118 years! JCPenney currently employs over 85,000 people. What does this mean for us shoppers?
Not a lot of details have emerged yet but they did say that there will be some store locations across the country closing. How many, and which locations have not been determined. If you usually place your JCPenney orders online for store pick up I suggest doing that soon! We might also find some new promotions, coupons, and reward programs to attract customers as they restructure the business - we will be on the lookout!
