Bug bites are never fun. This balm is.
When you do anything outside in the summer, it feels like there's a swarm of bugs perpetually waiting for you. Buzzing in the shadows, getting ready to attack. It's sort of frightening, wouldn't you agree?
That's why we've found a natural solution to this nightmare, to-go bug balm sticks. These homemade remedies are perfect to pack in your bag, backpack, or back pocket anytime you go outside this summer. They have all-natural ingredients, so they make a great addition to any outdoorsy venture.
Wondering how they help? Here's a little info:
They contain Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil. This plant-based oil has been shown to be a natural pest repellent. According to one study reported on NPR; “When researchers from New Mexico State University tested a variety of commercial products for their ability to repel mosquitoes, they found that a product containing lemon eucalyptus oil was about as effective and as long-lasting as products containing DEET.”
We've also thrown in some lavender oil since that's a smell everyone loves. What would make a beach or picnic day better? The sweet, soothing smell of this beloved flower, of course.
Okay, now that we've gone over the perks of the balm...let's get to making them! After all, the more we type and the more you read, the more likely those bugs will get to you.
