No, it's not a rubber mask. Even though those are kind of fun. Today we're introducing the skin cleansing trick that involves grains. So, if you're a fan of oatmeal in the a.m. this cleansing tactic is right up your alley. 

While there's a chance you may be thinking that we're crazy, stick with us. Cleansing grains are a great substitution for the traditional sudsy soap, because it is gentle on the skin. Also, grains are naturally exfoliating. This means that you'll not only be making your face squeaky clean; you'll be adding a touch of smoothness with each cleanse session. For us, that's a major two-birds-one-stone situation. 

Outside of this, Cleansing grains make for an environmentally friendly choice. Here's a quick run-down on how: 

+ No Packaging -- Outside that which the rolled oats are contained in (unless you bulk shop) 

+ Biodegradable -- Mix too much? What you don't use won't go to waste. The earth is okay with grains, it grows them after all! The same doesn't go for some of the harsh chemicals in mainstream items. 

...Those two points also equate to: money saving. 

Facial Grains Cleanser

Skip the oatmeal. Stir this together instead. 

What You Need: 

+ 1/4 Cup Rolled Oats

+ 1/2 Cup Bentonite Clay

+ 1 Tablespoon Lavender Flowers Select

+ 2 Drops Chamomile Essential Oil Blend

Steps: 

+ In a blender, add the rolled oats, and 1 teaspoon of the lavender flowers. Blend to powder. 

+ Add to a bowl, and mix in the rest of the lavender, 2 drops of essential oil, and clay. 

+ Apply to face and wash as you normally would. 

+ Enjoy the smoothness!
