This is a project I did for my husband for a Valentines Day card when Jace was only about a month and a half in age. The pictures have just been sitting in my camera for me to share the project and I`m finally doing it! It`s such a cute, simple and fun project and my husband thought it was adorable. It cost us nothing since we used things from around the house, but here`s what you`ll need:
First of all I waited until Jace was in a happy cheerful mood before attempting this project. I will say it was difficult because he would straighten his foot out to paint, but then he would move it when trying to stamp it! Ah well, all the more unique I guess. So here`s how I did it:
First squirt your paint onto a paper plate. I found this easy to just dip, paint, and you had somewhere to place your paintbrush quickly. Also, get the baby wipes ready and handy - trust me! Once you have everything set up, paint your baby`s foot. I suggest doing only 1 at a time unless you`re trying to make a big mess.
After you coated your baby`s foot in the paint, stamp it on to a piece of paper. I used the package as a backing behind the paper so I could get it to stamp. Try doing it witha single piece of paper and you`ll see why!
Immediately after stamping your baby`s foot, use the baby wipes to clean the foot. You`ll avoid plenty of mess if you do this! Plus if curious hands go to touching you have nothing to worry about.
Repeat the above steps to make a V sort of shape - your baby should be re-stamping the foot at an angle, but with the heal over the previous heal print. Step back, it takes on a bit of a heart shape. Neat huh? When you`re done the stamping process go ahead and cut the feat out in a heart shape. You can then use your scrapbook paper as a layered background. Just glue your feet heart to one page, cut out the heart, and repeat as necessary for however many layers you want.
