Long night filled with green-colored drinks, and friends? You’re probably not enjoying your Saturday morning, if we were to go out on a limb here, we’d guess you probably have a hangover. Yikes! The dreaded result of a holiday spent with good friends, making good memories. So, now you’re wondering what you can do since you’re seeing the other end of the rainbow and it isn’t looking too hot. Here’s a few pointers to help you shape up and make the most of your weekend:
Drink Water. And Don’t Stop.
Water. H2O. It’s essential to replenish yourself after a night of drinking since alcohol is a notorious dehydrator. So help yourself out and start chugging water like you were chugging beers last night. It’s important to drink the daily minimum of 6 glasses, especially today! If you are an anti-water person (how could you!?) here’s a quick and delicious blueberry-infused recipe that will have you hooked:
Be Berry Happy Water:
1 Pitcher of Water 10-12 Chopped Mint Leaves 2 Lemons, Cut Up 1 Cup of Blueberries, fresh Add all the ingredients into the pitcher, place in the refrigerator for a few hours to blend naturally.
Eat Good Foods
This should come as no surprise: eating right is important to your health. Sure, you can choose to order in a deliciously greasy B-E-C with a side of pancakes, but we advise against it. Try to start fresh and give your gut a little dose of healthiness with something beneficial to it. Some of the best foods for your “like-no-other headache” are delicious and nutritious which will have your craving for the usual stuff curbed. Three of the best (and yummy!) foods you can eat after St. Patty’s Day did its thing are: avocado, eggs, and feta cheese. Here’s what you can make with those three items:
Healthy Egg Sandwich:
2 Slices of Multigrain Bread 1 Avocado 2 Eggs 1 tbsp Feta Cheese Toast your bread. While it’s toasting, on a skillet scramble up your two eggs adding salt and pepper to taste. When that’s done, cut up your avocado into neat, stackable slices. Place the eggs evenly on each piece of toast—leave them separate, this it will be an open-faced sandwich. Then, layer the avocado on each slice. Top off with some feta cheese. See if you crave a deli BLT after one bite into that…we dare you.
