Who doesn`t love a relaxing trip to the spa?

But who has the time or resources to make the trip as often as they`d like? Sometimes your best option is to pamper yourself with a homemade sugar scrub. Sugar scrubs naturally remove dead skin and leave skin looking and glowing and healthy, and we love to use them ourselves or even whip up a batch as a thoughtful homemade gift! We used strawberry fragrance oil and lemon essential oil to create this scrub. We think the blend is perfect for summer and reminiscent of strawberry lemonade! But you can pick and combine any scents and blends you prefer!

What You`ll Need

1 1/4 cup of sugar

6 tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil or other carrier oil

10 drops Strawberry Fragrance Oil

5-10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

10 drops Vitamin E Oil

Pink or red food coloring (optional)

Sterilized airtight container

Step 1

In a non-food use bowl, combine Sweet Almond Oil, sugar, and vitamin E oil, blending well to eliminate lumps.

Step 2

Add fragrance oil a few drops at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Step 3

Add in a few drops of pink or red food coloring and mix well to achieve the desired hue (optional).

Step 4

Place in an airtight container and allow to sit for 24 hours prior to use. Use within 3 months.
