What is Camp Corral?
A: Camp Corral, a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt, non-profit corporation, is a free, one-of-a-kind summer camp experience for children of wounded, ill, injured, or fallen military service members.
What is the age range?
A: Camp Corral is for children ages 8 to 15. To submit an application the child must be between the ages of 8-15 on the first day of the session. No exceptions will be made.
Are grandchildren of military service members eligible?
A:Only if the service member or veteran grandparent(s) is the child’s legal guardian are grandchildren eligible to attend Camp Corral.
Are children of veterans separated from service eligible to attend Camp Corral?
A: Yes, children of veterans are eligible to attend.
How are campers selected?
A: Registration priority is given to children of wounded, injured, ill, or fallen military service members (“Mission Status” campers) on a first come first served basis. Mission Status eligible applications are processed based on date and time received. The category and/or percentage of disability rating is not a consideration when establishing priority. Any mission status applicants who do not get a spot will remain on the waitlist and be contacted by the camp location in the event of any cancellations. All military connected youth are welcome to apply however if they do not meet mission status, they will be placed on the camp’s wait list and their application will not be reviewed until 60 days prior to the start of the session, only if there are still spots available. We recommend, if this is the case for your family, that you make alternative summer plans, as the chances of getting a spot are very low.
