This summer SONIC Drive-In is introducing the all-new Dunked Ultimate Chicken Sandwich, a flavor-loaded, quality chicken sandwich “dunked” in rich, bold sauce over a premium all-white meat chicken fillet on a warm brioche bun. Guests can choose from three premium sauces: Bourbon BBQ, a rich bourbon BBQ sauce with a smoky & sweet linger; Buffalo made with hot and spicy cayenne, red chili peppers and a touch of chipotle; and Garlic Parmesan with Parmesan cheese, roasted garlic and Italian herbs.

 

 

 

As some of you already know, I'm a pretty big fan of Sonic and I seriously get excited when they have new things on the menu. Sometimes they're a hit, sometimes they're a far off miss. This time I tried their new Dunked Ultimate Chicken Sandwiches! Well, I tried 2 of the 3 available flavors since the Buffalo didn't sound too exciting to me. So that leaves me trying the Bourbon BBQ and the Garlic Parmesan sandwiches. 

 

Now I have to admit, the sandwiches I received did not look as thrilling as the ones in the ad so I was concerned that they wouldn't taste very good. Well, I was wrong! They were freshly made and O-M-G delicious! The flavors were full and the patties were juicy; not dry. Basically, everything tasted like perfection! So even though it didn't look "perfect" they both absolutely tasted wonderful. I even had to reheat one of my garlic parmesan sandwiches and it still tasted just amazing after being reheated. Generally, reheated sandwiches taste horrible in my opinion which is why I'm so thrilled about it.

 

Needless to say, I had a pleasant experience at my local Sonic and an even better experience with my meal! Seriously, finger licking good!
