I just recently did a small organizing job on the medicines cabinet and wanted to share. Maybe get some ideas/feedback? We have a small kitchen. It`s definitely an upgrade from apartment living -- huge upgrade in comparison, but still small when it comes to holding everything. For right now we only have ONE shelf spot reserved for all medications since the cabinets are all full to the max. Over the past few weeks we`ve been using meds for the cough/cold/allergy season. You know how that goes. You`re perfectly fine one mine, wake up sniffly nose, nasal drip, sore throat, the works the next. After getting tired of having to pull out all the meds in the cabinet to find the right thing to take I go a bit frustrated and decided to fix things up a bit. This is how the cabinet looked before hand:
Being on a tight budget with an upcoming wedding and all the other fun expenses of owning a home I had little to work with. I dug around and found a couple of Tupperware containers that we never use that I thought would work perfect for the job. I got 3 small ones and organized everything by cough, allergy and pain. I even used scrapbooking letter stickers to label the containers. Those are the 3 top things we use. Luckily none of us are on prescription meds so that saves us lots of space. When all was said and done this is how the finished cabinet came out:
May not seem like a huge difference, but it`s a lot more convenient to pull out a bucket real quick to find what I need and put it back rather than ALL meds. As the pictures show I have the 1 long container for the pain meds on one side and two smaller ones on the other side. Allergy in the back, cold in the front.
