Is this the Gabriel Fernandez story of Texas? I hope not.
This is a heartbreaking story. I was just having a day today to say the least. Being moody, laying in bed, and just scrolling through TikTok to get out of that funk. While scrolling I came across a TikTok that caught my attention. I can't remember the exact video, but it leads me to search the hashtag #standwithsophie where I discovered the story of this little girl that ripped at my heartstrings. I know I normally don't post this stuff, but this trend needs to STOP! Abuse is never okay. The justice system needs to stop failing her children. Let's make Sophie's story loud. I don’t know the family, this is all information I found from a support group to try and save this child.
Here is her story as I have found from her support page. These are the words from the victim, her family, and other online fact searches:
9-year-old Sophie is being sexually abused by her mother Kelly's boyfriend JACOB WAYNE BELLINGTON of Frisco, Texas. Sophie has disclosed to several CPS, healthcare, and law enforcement personnel that she and her two younger brothers are being sexually abused by JACOB WAYNE BELLINGTON and other unknown males in their primary residence. The 9-year-old was given a diagnosis of sexual assault by bodily force at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. She has stated that JACOB WAYNE BELLINGTON has nude pornographic images of children on multiple devices in the home, and that at some point she was shown an image of a deceased child in an effort to intimidate and silence her. She stated that it was a young boy who's "nose and penis were decomposing". From what has been found, Jacob Bellington has a felony in California.

Additionally, Kelly Long, Sophie's biological mother, has purchased guns for Jacob Bellington that he keeps in his 1993 white ford 350 truck. Kelly Long has also called the Fresco police on Mr.Jake in December for verbal abuse and concerns for physical abuse.
Her father, Michael Long, was forced to return her to her mother on 8/25/2020, putting Sophie and her brother's back into the hands of their abusers. Texas law enforcement and CPS need to answer for their failure to protect these young children from the horrific abuse they are being subjected to. CPS investigated all 3 children; the eldest 2 (Sophie and her brother) confirmed family violence. CPS also told Michael, Sophie is very upset with her brother for sharing information about Jakes's behavior towards their mom. They encouraged Michael to have Sophie see a therapist twice weekly or a close family member take her to ice cream for any more information. Michael was granted a temporary restraining order that was then overturned. Kelly has since filed a temporary restraining order bc she believes Michael is coaching Sophie. Michael himself is unable to speak due to the pending to and gag order.
This is a video of Sophie Long during a forced custody exchange disclosing to her grandmother Kim (Sophie's mother's mom) that "Jake has been touching her, and mommy watches it happen".

I have full screen recordings of the original videos and am willing to submit them to anyone who can actually help. I will not send them to anyone just looking to "view" them out of mere curiosity. The last text received from Sophie after returning her to her mother stated that her room had been stripped of every single item (including all clothing) except for a bare mattress. The same mattress where her many sexual assaults have occurred. Nobody has been able to see or speak with the children since their return to their mother on 8/25/2020, and have been notified by their teachers that all three children have not attended school since the custody exchange. We fear that they are in immediate danger!

Thank you everyone for the prayers. Thank you for being her voice while they have her hidden, silenced, and afraid. We do not have Sophie or the boys. We do not know who has them. As of right now Frisco, TX PD is playing pass the blame buck with Lacey Lakeview, TX PD because Sophie was assaulted in the video by her mother and grandmother in Lacey Lakeview Texas. To be clear Frisco Texas PD does have the actual case for Sophie. The Amicus attorney featured in a video in the blue dress has declared she intends to remove Michael’s parental rights in an attempt to hide the fact that Sophie told her all about the abuse and she still forced her to go with her Mother while shaming her for crying and threatening her father with Jail time in front of Sophie if she didn’t go whole she screamed in desperation and terror. We are desperate to locate the kids. I don’t know if they are safe. What we do know is this - We love them infinitely and fear for their well being. Sophie and the boys are at immediate risk. Members of Jake Bellington’s family assisted in the abuse according to the children. You are all our last ray of hope after being shut down repeatedly, intimidated, and left feeling like we just don’t understand how these people can leave them there. If you have a heart that’s beating how does it not break for her? For the boys? For all the kids these people have failed before them. It’s time for change. It’s time to #Savethechildren.
In addition to this, Sophies' court-appointed attorney, Rachel Li, manipulated her into seeing her mom by threatening her with her father going to jail. She said, verbatim: “The judge ordered you to go to your mom or your dad will go to jail. You don’t want your dad to go to jail do you?”

I personally do not know if this is fact or rumor. However, I cannot see why anyone with good intentions wouldn't fight as hard as they can for a child. Make sure to leave your thoughts about her on Google and Yelp! Some people are saying she has ties to the judge but I do not know this for a fact. Threatening a father in front of his child as his child is screaming for the father to protect her is manipulative child abuse. As the child screams Daddy help me, the amicus attorney immediately tells the father that if he intervenes he will go to jail. That totally shuts down a child mentally, makes her feel like no one can help her, and if she speaks up & her father intervenes he goes to jail! Now the damn amicus attorney is trying to get the courts to believe that the child has a mental illness. It is a sad world where this stuff is allowed. We need to keep speaking out.

We have an evolving situation. Court documents have been submitted for an 8:30 am hearing at the 417th District Court. They are attempting to silence Michael Long, the father trying to save his daughter, through legal action filed by Rachel Li tonight. Unfortunately, he has been told that if he doesn't agree, he will not have legal representation for the hearing. Also, Judge Wheless appears to be the presiding Judge over this matter. Judge Hockett was present at all the others. Make sure to check out the YouTube Channel for the court and subscribe like crazy so that everyone can be held to the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
Also, it appears that they have preemptively attempted to stop the fundraising efforts through GoFundMe. The family is following up with GFM, but we do not know how long they will be able to hold the funds - which are being, in part, demanded in payment by tomorrow. They have set up a PayPal account in the interim with the email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Once resolved, they will leave both options available.

Check out this development! Records show that the majority of Fratter's pay sheets were signed by 366th District Court Judge Ray Wheless and Judge Cyndi Wheless of the 417th District Court. The Whelesses are married. Cyndi Wheless (the judge who handled the court appearance today and issued the gag order on the father) handles all juvenile cases in Collin County. Because of that, her court has historically had the highest number of cases and greatest expenses for court appointments compared with other courts. Read the full article here.
Why did I share this? Because I have been seeing a lot of claims popping up that those who are supposed to be looking out for the best interest of this child are actually friends with the mom and the members of the family who are allowing this abuse to happen. I do not have evidence to support as such. The people making the claims of this are claiming to have photos, videos, etc. However, I have nothing to support whether this is a fact or not.

Also, I am seeing a lot of people posting about Sophie being safe. From the last update I heard, the local authorities in their area are saying she is in a safe location, however, her father does NOT know where she is at or had any contact with her. So I cannot confirm or deny she is in fact safe. Prior to the authorities making the statement about her being safe, it was being said she was placed with a family member of the mother who does not believe what Sophie has been saying about being abused. Now to clarify, if I were to find out where Sophie was, I would NOT post it for her own safety.

This is from Michael: Just wow! Here’s a dose of reality and some insight into what’s been going on. Now, her lawyers are attempting to hijack the funds you’ve all been a part of raising so that they can have them locked up by the courts and used at their leisure for costs they’ve had to incur and the expert witnesses they’ll attempt to have testify against us. And, oh yeah, costs for the Amicus who wants to strip me of my parental rights. You can’t even make this sh** up. They will literally do anything to stop us from securing the safety of the kids! And, on top of it, we still don’t even know where they are. This isn’t right. This isn’t fair. And this isn’t just.

It looks like Rachel Li has been removed from Sophie's case! This is great news! Also, Michael as obtained a team of lawyers from TWO law firms, with a total of 6 lawyers all together!
UPDATE: September 3, 2020
A small victory happened in court today. Michael will get to see his children in person for this weekend starting tomorrow at 5pm. He will also get zoom visits for an hour with all 3 daily. Both parents can't discuss the case during their visitation time. Additionally, Jacob Bellington has been banned (possibly temporarily, not sure) from contact with Sophie. Also, the mother will still have visitation with Sophie as well.
Additional notes from the court case today:
- Court wants all records for evidence from CPS
- All email correspondence will be filed with the court clerk - no exparte
- The next hearing will be live-streamed - when the date is announced to both parties (here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8JzlzRr9nYppoQGAgjXdTA)
- No additional forensic interviews other than Collin County CAC
- Mother's Objection to violation to the modification to possession without a hearing - preserved for a possible future appeal

WOW! I woke up this morning in shock! Facts have surfaced that Sophie has been (or at least was last night) with her mother and not in protective care or even with another family as we have been told. There were also several males in the household - a violation of the court order provided to the mother! Additionally, it has been mentioned that Sophie had a black eye and was possibly giving her dad a signal that meant she was not safe. This is NOT good at all! How is this even possible (besides the fact it's a corrupt system)?! This is NOT okay! We need to get louder to save Sophie!
UPDATE: September 7, 2020
Originally, the kids were to return to the mother at 5pm. Thankfully, there was a closed-door court meeting/hearing that I believe just the lawyers went into and, as of now, the children are staying with Michael. It was ordered that Sophie got to stay, but not the boys, which made no sense. I believe they are awaiting clarification, but regardless of the details, at this time, the children are SAFE with their father! There is still a long road ahead, but this is great news!
