On a Keto diet and missing carbs? This recipe is for you.
If you follow a Keto diet, it's probably been a bit since you've had carbs in your life. Considering the goal of the diet to starve off carbohydrates, we can guess your taste buds miss the mouth feel of bread at times. Up until today you may have thought that there wasn't any option except to bid farewell to your glucose-ridden buddy, and move on.
However, we're here to let you in on some news: You don't need to say goodbye to carbs completely, you can opt to eat today's recipe instead.
Introducing Keto Friendly Cloud Bread. This light, moist, and fluffy bread substitute is perfectly easy to make. Plus, it is low carb so you can still enjoy without messing up your keto diet progress.
This "bread" is made from a short list of ingredients. It's mainly eggs so you're getting a decent amount of protein, and then only 3 other ingredients. We told you, it's simple.
Here's how to make Keto Friendly Cloud Bread:
You'll want to gather your ingredients. For this recipe you will need the following:
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
- 1/4 Cup Cream Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
- 2 large bowls
First, separate the egg whites from the yolks in a bowl. Beat the egg whites with a mixer for 2 minutes.
Note: Keep the yolks in another bowl, you'll need them in a few steps.
Throw in the Cream of Tartar with the egg whites, beat another minute. Peaks will form. That's a good thing.
Next, add the cream cheese and salt into the yolks bowl. Mix.
Pour the yolk mix into the egg white mix. Combine.
Scoop into decent sizes onto parchment paper, spacing evenly as you go.
Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes. (Keep an eye on them so nothing burns!)
Let cool. Eat up!
