Refreshing. Healthy. Colorful.
There are a few things that everyone should do before the summer ends. For one, there's camping; Going outside, sleeping in a tent, roasting marshmallows and enjoying nature. For two, there's eating ice pops. Those delicious creamy yet icy treats that make even the hottest days seem tolerable. The only downside to the latter? The sugar content.
However, that's not a worry for today's recipe. These Spirulina Ice Pops require only healthy ingredients. Sourced from superfoods like Spirulina, and honey, they pack a punch of nutrients you can happily chow down on.
Here's a little bit on Spirulina, since some of you may not be familiar.
Spirulina is a green-blue alga. It can be found in the sodium rich waters of South and Central America. This wellness favorite is high in protein, vitamins, and minerals. In fact, it's a good source of Vitamin A and contains manganese as well as zinc! Known for its benefits, it's been enjoyed since Ancient times. This makes it no wonder why people still enjoy it today.
Now that we're all caught up, hop below to grab the recipe. Since, let's be honest, that's the highlight.
