Let me start off by saying - we have been wanting to do a bathroom upgrade for a while. Ideas are just limited and we really have no idea which way to go. The problem? Our master bathroom is one of those small bathrooms. I mean, there's not even a closet for towels so our towels are kept in the shared house bathroom. First things first. Before we could even start on this project we had to find a mirror. Previously, we had a flat, boring standard cheap mirror attached to the wall. Nothing fancy. It was way overdue for a cleaning and honestly, I flat out didn't really like it. It just was boring to say the least. I like exciting, different, unique, etc. While we simply could have just ordered a beautiful frame from Frame My Mirror (use promo code CLOSETSAMPLES10 to get 10% off the first purchase), I decided to go with the Medina 23.625 x 31.5 LED Lighted Mirror because the lighting and size would give the appearance of a larger space of the bathroom. Plus, the small bathroom could honestly use any additional lighting we could get! The dim lighting is great for relaxing in a warm bath and such, but when I'm trying to take care of my dental hygiene, makeup, and/or use my facial skincare products, I like nice lighting and with limited space, a vanity mirror is really not much of an option.

Upon arrival of my mirror, I was very pleased with the packaging and the care the company took to ensure my mirror arrived to me safely. I had an issue with my mirror when it first arrived and contact the company immediately who did not once hesitate to resolve the issue quickly. Normally I hate pointing out flaws in a company, but the fact that they gave great customer service really stood out to me and made me feel like a valued customer to the brand an, to me, that should be noted. This is something I look for when shopping whether it's a luxury or discounted products. Feeling like I am valued is what would have me come back again in the future.

 

 

Once everything was unpackaged, it was time for the installation process to begin. First, we had to remove the ugly old flat mirror -- which was a piece of cake. Next, it was time for the measuring and placement of the mirror. I must confess, I left all this up to my husband to do since he's the builder/electrition guys of the household. So once everything was measured and ready to place up, he had to separate the mirror backing (where the electrical wiring and stuff are located) from the mirror. You need to mount the back part on first and this is so you can run the electrical. This was easy for him to do since he is an electrician, however, the included instructions were rather easy to follow and with some help, I'm pretty sure non-electricians could do it. The mirror has weight to it so most of the help would probably be needed in holding the mirror and such. Once everything was hooked up, the hardest part of it was getting the mirror back on. Not that the process itself was hard, but because of the small space. The right side of the mirror was easily attached back on because there was adequate spacing for my husband to get in there and screw the screws back into place. The left side, however, which is the where the mirror was closest to the wall, was a different story. He actually had to use a special took because of the tight spacing. Generally, this wouldn't be an issue, but because we were limited to space, this is how we had to work it in for the install. Once that part was done, though, we were ready for the reveal!

 

 

The mirror looked stunning! The mirror really opened up our space and the lighting on it can easily be turned on and off by a little switch on the side of the mirror. I especially love it when I'm applying makeup or flossing my teeth for a better view. Hey, just being honest here! The mirror is rather sturdy and very well made. We have had no issues with it not working properly and it's been installed for several days now. Plus, it's still easy to clean as necessary. You can wipe it clean just as you would any other mirror without needing any special treatment.
