Digestive enzymes aid in the absorption of nutrients and assist in the breaking down of the food particles you eat. This process allows the food that you eat to be used as energy, to support the building of new muscle and nerve cells, as well as protecting your blood from toxins. Inadequate enzyme production can lead to digestive discomfort, gas, bloating, low energy and allergy-like reactions to food.

I recently discovered Gut Garden Digestive Enzymes with Betaine HCL and Pepsin, which you can get off Amazon for just $23.74 + clip a 5% off coupon, as one of the four supplements from Gut Garden I decided to start taking as part of my daily routine in my journey to a healthier me.

The Gut Garden healing protocol consists of five steps— Clean, Prepare, Plant, Feed and Protect—to restore balance, re-establish healthy digestion, and alleviate chronic and occasional symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas and indigestion. The Digestive Enzymes is step 2 of this process. Replace digestive functions that may have been depleted or compromised over time with Gut Garden’s Digestive Enzyme Blend. Their high-potency blend of enzymes, herbs, Betaine HCL, and Pepsin is designed to break down fats, carbohydrates and proteins to support proper digestion and improve nutrient absorption. Use to resolve occasional indigestion, gas and bloating, or alongside Gut Garden’s other products to help restore gut health long-term.

How do digestive enzymes work? Digestion is a complex process that first begins when you chew food, which releases enzymes in your saliva. Most of the work happens thanks to gastrointestinal fluids that contain digestive enzymes, which act on certain nutrients (fats, carbs or proteins). We make specific digestive enzymes to help with the absorption of different types of foods we eat. In other words, we make carbohydrate-specific, protein-specific and fat-specific enzymes. Digestive enzymes aren’t just beneficial — they’re essential. They turn complex foods into smaller compounds, including amino acids, fatty acids, cholesterol, simple sugars and nucleic acids (which help make DNA). Enzymes are synthesized and secreted in different parts of your digestive tract, including your mouth, stomach, and pancreas.

So how was my experience with the Gut Garden Digestive Enzyme Supplements? It's only just the beginning for me, so it is too soon to be able to give my final results, however, I can tell you I love the process and simplicity of taking these capsules as well as following the Gut Garden procedure. The bottles are brightly colored and clearly labeled. I love that each bottle is labeled with numbers so you know which order to take what. The clearly printed directions also make it clear and easy to understand how and when to take the capsules of each supplement. Each capsule is a clear and packed for of the ingredients in a powdered form. So far, while taking the supplement I have had no negative effects. No sickness, no rash, etc. The capsule went down effortlessly. As I said, it's too soon for results, however, I do plan to stick with all 4 Gut Garden products I received and look forward to seeing amazing results. After all, these have great reviews from what I've seen so far!
