About KD Organizing
Karen DeClark is the owner and founder of KD Organizing, LLC. The company was born during a career transition after 20 years in event planning in the floral industry. Through the years her career evolved into more staging and interior redesigns that involved decluttering and making efficient use of space. Karen's passion has crossed over to helping those who struggle with the organizing process and transforming their space into a place they can relax in and enjoy. Karen has been a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) since 2005 and attends the yearly conference to stay current on the latest trends in organizing. She also serves as the Marketing Director for the NAPO Southeast Michigan Chapter. Karen is certified in the FreedomFiler self-purging file system. She is a member of Faithful Organizers. We have a small kitchen which means we need to be organized to keep clutter to a minimum. When upgrading from an apartment to our house it just felt like a massive upgrade and we over did it with buying kitchenware. I mean those apartment kitchens are the size of a postal shipping box! When my bamboo drawer organizer came in I couldn`t have been more thrilled. It has the same number of slots (5 to be exact) as our original organizer, but they`re deeper. So no more big forks spilling over into little forks, etc. Rather than an over pilled junk utensil drawer, things are now organized!

This bamboo drawer organizer measures 13.5 in. x 11.88 in. x 2.5 in. deep in size. The compartments within the organizer measure 2 â…› in. deep, and their sizes are: 12 ¾ in. x 2 â… in., 8 ¼ in. x 2 … in., 10 in. x 2… in. I should have measured my drawer because the width is the exact width of my drawer meaning it didn`t fit in there, but I was determined to make it work somewhere. I liked how my utensils were being held and settled for a side cabinet where we were keeping tea and things like that. I know it`s an odd choice, but that`s how much I really liked this thing! I don`t like my original organizer now!
This drawer organize is made of bamboo (of course) and is very well made. It`s durable, sturdy, and has no splinters poking out. I highly recommend it, but measure your drawers first - unless you can make it work regardless of the size, like we did!
