I love trying new food and drink products, but of course being pregnant makes me extremely picky in what I like now a days. Lately my food choices are salads and vegetables - oh and I`m liking tomatoes with black pepper on them too! A downside is I`m also liking Coke products and drinking a lot of caffeine obviously isn`t a good choice - pregnant or not. Thankfully Bai sent me some of their drinks to try out which are antioxidant infused and 100% natural. So now I can enjoy something a bit different without the caffeine. Sure, I still want the sodas, but I have other options that taste great so I can cut back on them during those cravings.
For two decades I traveled to exotic regions around the world in search of the best-quality, green coffee available. It was on one of those trips, during a visit to Indonesia, that I stumbled upon something unexpected: coffeefruit, the casing that surrounds the coffee bean, is an antioxidant powerhouse. I`ve been determined to share the secret of coffeefruit ever since. Back home I turned my family`s kitchen into a makeshift lab for more than a year mixing coffeefruit and exotic fruit juices to create a great-tasting, healthful beverage. The result? An antioxidant-rich, refreshing line called bai. In August 2009 bai was founded. The name bai - the Mandarin word for "pure" - was chosen to represent the simple, natural goodness of a beverage dedicated to fostering great health. At first bai was sold only in health food stores in Princeton, New Jersey where the antioxidant infusions were created. Word of mouth about its delicious, refreshing nature ensured bai would move into other areas quickly. Soon bai could be found in specialty stores and in major retail markets throughout the northeast and California. Within months of its founding bai had launched a second line of infusions, bai5, a low-sugar, 5-calorie beverage created in response to customer`s interest in even more healthful options to sugary, high-calorie drinks. The first bai5 infusion, Sumatra Dragonfruit, became an instant best seller. Today, as bai continues to grow, one thing is clear: the secret of coffee fruit antioxidant power is finally out.
While I enjoy natural products I am generally skeptical of them until I try them since most of them taste funny or just not what I`m used to to be quite honest. Well I tried some of the drinks I was sent and fell in love; especially with the Limu Lemon. Only 5 calories per serving and 100% natural. Not to mention 1g of sugar per seving (about 2 servings per bottle), so it`s safe for those who have to watch their sugar intake as well! Before I tried these I put them in the fridge immediately after arrival since most drinks taste best cold. I`m the type to drink my drinks throughout the day, occasionally all in one sitting, but mostly throughout the day. The drinks taste GREAT cold, but they also still keep their flavor once they reach room temperature as well. I still prefer them cold, but if they happen to go room temperature you won`t go into a "nasty taste shock". Also, One of the drinks I have been drinking on and off for a couple days now - no odd flavor was added to it, it kept the same consistent flavor. I know of many drinks that once they are open a few hours later they go flat or the flavor changes, with these they don`t. Needless to say I`m highly impressed with the Bai drinks and I love them! Plus they are available on one of my favorite places to shop: Amazon.com! I highly recommend this company and their drinks and I can`t wait to finish trying ALL the flavors! Thanks Bai for a unique and exciting experience!
