I was send the Friis Coffee Vault - Coffee Savor model features a 64 fluid oz. stainless steel base with an all black BPA free polymer lid. It measures 7.5"H x 5"D. It holds 16oz (pound) of coffee beans. Also included is a measuring spoon, one year supply of Friis freshness valves, getting started instructions and the Art of Flavor booklet. So what`s so special about this compared to just a regular can? Well, as already stated, it has vents that vent away the CO2 gases, which helps to keep your coffees full flavor. Also, because it is recommended to replace the valve every month, on the top of your canister is a rotating date wheel where you can set a reminder for the day you need to replace your new valve. A simple, yet helpful feature in my opinion! So how was my personal experience? The canister itself is rather light weight, but very sturdy and durable. I like the latch of the canister. I really can`t tell you why, other than the obviously good hold, but I`ve always liked latches like that. Probably because my grandparents used to have jars with similar latches as a kid growing up, good memories. Anyhow, I also like the reminder for on the top of the can as to know when to change the valve. Being a busy, working mother, this is probably something I`d forget to do on my own. As far as keeping the coffee fresh: Well, if I were to wait that long to fully test it this review would end up being forgotten about. So far over the few days I have tried it though, it seems to keep the freshness in just fine. Hopefully it will continue to do so (or I will update that it hasn`t!)  Also, opening and closing the canister is simple. No odd tricks, thank goodness because I don`t have time to fight to open a can just to fix some coffee in the mornings. The customer service I received was very friendly to work with as well. Always important in my opinion to have good customer service, which they did provide. The shipping was done quickly and in a timely manner. Needless to say I am a satisfied customer and would return again in the future. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends, family and all coffee lovers alike! I don`t think you`ll be disappointed. Not to mention, this could be a great gift for dad for Fathers Day coming next month!
