We all know being a mommy or daddy is hard work. How about trying to get work done or going to the grocery with an infant? Obviously walking around with a heavy baby carrier is not ideal and it prevents you from being close to your baby so why not get a stylish baby sling from HotSlings? Not only was I sent a sling to review, but they`re giving one away to one of my wonderful readers as well!
About Hot Slings:
Say bye-bye to complicated sizing charts and hello to the infinitely adjustable Hotslings AP! Two strategically placed tri-glides allow the AP to fit comfortably on multiple users while also easily accommodating postpartum body changes. Our mission is to provide high quality products to parents and caregivers that make attachment parenting and bonding easier in today`s busy world. Started in 2003, Hotslings pouch-style baby carriers were originally a hybrid between the sleek pouch-style baby sling and the large, padded ring sling. The pouches were also the first cut to fit just about every size person possible and offered in to-the-moment fashion prints.
What do I think?
I chose AP Graham Cracker style sling to review because of its unique, but neutral style pattern. My husband and I are currently working on trying to have a second child after we recently had the miscarriage so during this period we`re just getting more prepared for when the time comes for that to happen. One thing from when Sophia was an infant was I didn`t have a sling or carrier or anything like that. If i went somewhere she was in her carrier, stroller or I was holding her - not many convenient options there. The strollers can be bulky to lug around, the carriers are heavy unless you have a shopping cart you can attach it to, which is challenging for short people and of course carrying killed my back. With the sling it goes over one shoulder and the baby (from 8lbs to 35lbs) sits on the opposite end. An infant can lay in the sack like hold and a baby that can sit can sit up in the sling comfortably. The sling I received I found to be made of high quality materials. It has a diagonal orange grid on mocha background with a splash of imaginative well-placed flowers, dots and paisleys – sure to go with your favorite pair of jeans! It`s made of 97% cotton 3% spandex with the filling being 100% cotton. While I don`t have a real baby to test the sling with I did so using Sophias Cabbage Patch doll. I found the sling not only looked stylish, but it looked great and was very comfortable to wear. The sling is quite strong and durable and I can tell that it definitely will uphold to the weight it states it can hold in it`s description. The thing that makes Hotslings AP pouches different from other slings you may have seen on the market is that they have 2 hidden buckles that allow you to adjust the size so that your sling can fit (most) anyone who wants to carry your baby. This is great for us because I`m a tiny person (4`11 in height) and most of the time a sling that fits me well is not going to fit anyone else in hour family very well. As an added bonus the Hotslings AP comes with a bonus matching diaper pod that can be used or course for carrying diapers or your sling. Needless to say I am very pleased with the Hotsling I received and highly recommend them for new parents or parents and care givers of young children. It`s definitely a new "must have" on my list!
