I was super stoked about checking out this basket. First of all, the delivery is pretty quick. It arrived well packaged and with frozen packs to help keep everything cool/fresh. I live in the South so it`s already in the upper 80`s on most days so not much arrives to us safely in the heat in terms of melt-able/perishable products. If it`s not packaged right, you will be very disappointed. Luckily, Stew Leonard`s took the time and care to do this. The ice packs were fully melted and my fruit was room temperature, but the chocolate was not melted and the fruit was not bad. I immediately put the cheese in the refrigerator so it could cool down before trying it, but it was still good so no issues there. I began starting to munch on the chocolate pretzels. Those are absolutely to die for! Seriously, they could have sent me just a basket of those and I would have been in heaven. Warning, though, they are addicting! Then as the day went on I tried various fruits. Can I say WOW?! Everything was ripe and ready to eat and it was fresh! I mean, I expected fresh to begin with, but I mean no bruised or damaged pieces at all - which is a huge plus. It would have been disappointing, of course, but it`s something I`ve come to expect with fruit products so I was too excited to see none of mine had any issues. I loved the variety of brands of the fruit in the basket as well, so there`s a little something for everyone. To top all that off, the basket everything comes in is amazing quality! When it first arrived, I took the fruits out of the beautiful arrangement and placed everything in the basked and was able to carry it by handle to the kitchen. No signs of it breaking or falling apart. Usually baskets don`t do well with the weight. So this was very pleasing to be as well. Needless to say, I had an amazing experience with Stew Leonard`s and the fruit basket.
