Classic Rare Mongoy derby with oak collar and insert. This is a smart derby cane, which exhibits a very high level of craftsmanship. The handle and shaft are made from finely sanded and finished Mongoy wood. Mongoy is a tropical hardwood of a mid-brown color, with an interesting, close grain. The collar and inset section are made from Holm Oak, a European form of oak, again with an interesting grain but a much paler color. The contrast between the two colors gives this derby a distinctive appearance. The cane is very well finished, so that it is impossible to feel the join between the oak insert and the Mongoy above and below it. Fitted with a non-slip black rubber ferrule.
