Making your own household cleaners is really incredibly simple and affordable. With just a couple common household products you can make all natural, chemical free All Purpose Cleaner. For this recipe, you are really only using Vinegar and Baking Soda, then add in a few drops of your favorite scent in the form of essential oils (I like Lemon, Orange or a combination of Lavender and Peppermint).

If you haven’t heard already, vinegar is amazing. It can be used for so much more than just cooking and making salad dressings, it is honestly one of the best cleaners out there! Vinegar is a natural antibacterial cleaner this is largely because of its antimicrobial properties. I love that I can disinfect my house and surface areas without harmful chemicals! Especially when cleaning around the kitchen, dining room table and the children’s table and desk that they eat at! So are you ready for that cleaning recipe? Here it is!

Ingredients

• 1 cup white vinegar
• 1 TBSP baking soda
• 1 cup water
• 1 large spray bottle
• 10-20 drops of essential oil of your choice

Directions This is so simple you`re going to love it! Simply add vinegar and baking soda to an empty spray bottle. Add water and essential oils and shake until fully mixed.

Tips

• You can also add a couple of drops of Dawn Dish soap to this mixture if you are looking to use it as a degreaser or to clean up a really soiled dirty surface.
• Another suggestion is you can make your own concentrate of citrus (I use oranges or lemons when they’re starting to go bad) in vinegar. Let it sit for a few days; the longer it sits, the stronger the concentrate is. When ready to use, mix some of the concentrate in a spray bottle with water and you have a lovely citrus smelling cleaner.
