Today is National Orchid Day! Are you excited? We are, since any excuse to celebrate beautiful blooms is 100% okay with us. At least, when those blooms also happen to be a favorite fragrance oil that we use year round. When that happens, it's basically fate we write a post about it.
So, let's first get acquainted with how National Orchid Day came about. Beware, it's bittersweet. A couple who loved the flower after volunteering at an orchid reserve named their daughter after it, Orchid. Sadly, they lost their daughter when she went into labor with her own child. On a mission to both honor her and the plant they loved dearly, they set out to create Orchid Day. The mission? To not only admire the Orchid but to use the day to show love to all of the important people in your life.
...That's a day we can get behind, pretty floral fragrance or not.
Now that you know the story, here are two ways to celebrate...Get your family involved and share the love!
