Would you consider yourself a self-proclaimed coffee addict? As in, if you don’t have coffee you turn into Scrooge, or worse, get a migraine? It’s understandable since most Americans fall within the same boat. In fact, the average person is drinking upwards of three cups a day. What’s more, statistics have said that about 3 in 4 daily coffee drinkers are actually addicted to good ole’ cup of Joe.

…A little eye-opening, right? That said, luckily, more unique tonics and herbal lattes are becoming mainstream. They make for great replacements to your morning, afternoon, and eh, night coffee. One of these such alternative drinks that is reaching new heights in wellness circles is the Mushroom Latte.

Before we lose you on the basis of that sounding gross–fungi in your drink instead of coffee?!–hold on. Mushrooms are great little powerhouses for you and contrary to standard thought, actually don’t taste poorly. Most mushrooms, when found in powder form, have a distinctly earthy taste that mirrors the bitter nature of traditional coffee.

Since our Mushroom Latte recipe uses Lion’s Mane mushrooms, we figured we’d do a quick run-down:

+ Lion’s Mane is also called Hedgehog Mushroom, Monkey’s Mushroom, and Bear’s Head, thanks to its flowing appearance (kind of like a weird waterfall).

+ The mushroom is native to Asia and has been used in traditional Chinese wellness practices for hundreds of years.

+ Rich in vitamins and minerals.

+ They are known for their rich, distinct flavor that mimics the texture of coffee.

+ They are a great source of naturally occurring compounds that have benefits for your body.

Lion’s Mane Mushrooms work within your body to bring a bit of goodness to your cells, without caffeine.

If you still can’t get passed the idea of drinking a mushroom latte, even though they’re delicious, you can grab the benefits with our Super Lion’s Mane Mushroom 500 mg
