It's officially spring! Want to celebrate the onset of warmer weather? The perfect way to start is with this 5 Step Lemon Tart Bars recipe. The right amount of sweet and sour for a refreshingly light dessert. After all, what better a way to embrace the new season than with a treat as sunny as the upcoming days!
The other perk of this recipe? It's right in time for Easter. So, if you've been running ideas through your head with seemingly nothing delicious appearing, try this out. It won't take long to make, for those of you who are time-starved, and it will be well-received by guests since it's a classic.
Here's the 411.
First, you'll want to gather some supplies. Add the following to your grocery list:
+ Store bought pastry dough
+ 3 tsp. Lemon Zest
+ 1/3 C. Lemon Juice
+ 4 Eggs
+ 1/4 C. Whole Wheat Flour (or Organic Coconut Flour for GF)
+ 1 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar
Next up, the How-To-Make. Warning: Drooling may occur.
Step 1: Spread your dough out evenly on a 9" tray
Note: Make sure to have it spread so that it is on thick. Layer if needed.
Step 2: Bake the dough in the oven for 15 minutes. Heat: 350 degrees.
Note: Make sure that it is half baked, if it is fully baked, by the end it will be burned.
