If you were wondering which oils to use in this warm season, you've come to the right place.
Can you believe it's already the second week of July? Pretty crazy if you ask us. The weather is heating up, and most of the U.S. has been dealing with temperatures in the high 90's-low 100's. This type of weather leads us to either vacate our homes and head to the beach, or shack up inside to keep cool. There's just no in between.
So, for those that are doing either, and want to add a little aromatherapy into the day to make things a bit more bearable, we've decided to round up the top 3 refreshing, uplifting oils to have this summer.
Essential Oil 1: Citronella
Citronella is the first must-have oil for the season. It's a bright, lemony and grassy aroma that will waken your senses and transport you to feeling the relief of breezy, cool summer days. The citronella plant has long, narrow leaves and is naturally grown on the island of Sri Lanka.
You can mix a few drops in your sunscreen, if you choose to head to the beach, and the scent will keep the pests at bay.

Essential Oil 2: Lavender
Lavender is another that made it on this list., and probably with no shock value.
This oil is essentially season-less since it can be used for many skin-and-home related DIY projects all year long thanks to its sensual, calming scent. This purple flower is known for its tranquility-inducing aroma which causes you to slow things down. For days when the heat won't quit, throw a few drops into your diffuser, lay on the couch, and breathe in the subtle serenity of this traditional favorite.
