Entertain Kids with FREE Online Cooking Games for Kids
With the holidays upon us, many children are out of school for their holiday break. My children are homeschooled, but I am giving them a week off for their holiday break as well.
One of the things I try to incorporate into our breaks is fun learning. As in, I do not give them schoolwork, but rather introduce them to fun online games that are usually educational. Even if they are not considered educational, games are still a good source for learning such as for hand/eye coordination, critical thinking, etc. It just depends on the game.
I recently discovered a new site I had my children check out and they loved it! It's free online kids cooking games at This website has a good variety of games for kids and, of course, it has to do with food! The website offers 100 online games to help familiarize children with food, farming, cooking, the culinary arts, the restaurant business, and hospitality-related careers.
As I said, my kids really enjoyed this site as it was not schoolwork, yet they were still learning and all while having fun! I even played a few games to check it out myself and I must say, the games are rather addicting!
While I had fun with quite a few games, I must say, these were my top two choices if I had to choose.

Pizza Party serves guests custom-made pizzas using ingredients like tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, ham, mushrooms, basil, and pepperoni. This game was beyond easy to play without any stress. It is recommended this would be most entertaining for those in second or third grade as it tends to get boring quickly for older children. Nonetheless, I liked the simplicity and fun of playing it.

Guess the Food is a simple spelling game where kids are given letter tiles to place in the correct order from left to right to spell the food pictured above. The default game is quite short as it only has 4 levels, and a player can skip a level if they are unsure of the answer. I find this is easy, yet also helps kids with their spelling as well (depending on their age of course).
Of course, if neither of those two games sounds appealing to you, there are plenty of others for you to try. They offer Cooking and Kitchen Work style games, which track multiple tasks in the kitchen and learn how to follow a basic recipe. They have Food Education Games where you learn about healthy foods versus unhealthy foods.  They have Serving Eater games where you make sandwiches or play as a waiter. There are even Farming games where it familiarizes players with farms, farm animals, and farming. Plus, there are other Fun Food-themed Games listed as well!
I found the website easy to follow, easy to browse, and easy to play games. My biggest plus, however, is how much my own children loved playing the games themselves, though. It’s perfect for when you are stuck indoors, traveling, or just want to sit back and relax and have fun.

What was your favorite game to play from their website?
