After a stressful week of working and homeschooling, I like to try and find ways to relax. I like to escape from the world and find some enjoyment. Generally, that means I find a movie to watch or a new series to binge while playing some games. Well, I recently discovered a new site where you can play online card games and mind games for FREE!
The website is
solitaire.org and they have more than just Solitaire. They offer logic puzzle games, word games, mahjong, hidden object games, card games, and matching games! So, a little something for everyone. Did I mention they are
FREE?! So, no credit card sign up and you don’t even need to make an account. Just log on and play whenever you feel like it!
About Klondike Solitaire
When someone refers to “Klondike Solitaire” or “Patience”, it is just another way of saying “Solitaire”. Over the years, “Klondike” has mostly been dropped. The most famous version of Klondike Solitaire is the Microsoft Windows version that came bundled with the operating system up until Windows Version 10.
Klondike Solitaire is a challenging card game that can be played alone. The goal of the game is to stack cards into sequences. These sequences are based on suits and rank.
For me, this game is about relaxing and doesn’t require too much brain activity. So, I can sit back and relax. Whereas strategy games do not give my mind that mental break that it so desperately seeks at the end of a busy day or week.
About the Daily Word Search
Each day this game offers another level to play through for each board size. When you complete a level you can select another date from the left side calendar date selector, or if you do not like today's level you can pick another day. Words can appear in the puzzle forward, backward, up, down, or diagonal. When you find words in the puzzles they are highlighted in green.
I am a big fan of word games and I love them! My only problem is that they do require a certain amount of concentration, so they are not always ideal. I like these types of games when I’m more awake and able to concentrate. Basically, great games to pass time and stimulate the brain while waiting at appointments or throughout the day – just not at bedtime. That’s just my personal preference though since the evenings are for getting my brain to slow down and relax in preparation for sleep.
I haven’t made my way through the whole site yet, but I’ve played quite a few through the various categories and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Some games have the option for easy or hard levels. Some are challenging while others are just relaxing. Regardless, I’m happy I have discovered this website and hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! The games load quickly, the graphics seem to be of decent quality, and overall, it’s just enjoyable!
