Parents everywhere understand the struggle of teaching their kids to be self-sufficient. In honor of back to school, Colgate just launched their latest items in their kid's product portfolio, the Interactive Powered Toothbrush!  The new toothbrush makes oral hygiene more fun, teaching kids to be a better brusher with help from their favorite character’s voices.

The toothbrush is available in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle or Minions theme and features:

• Brush Coach- Characters coach your child through two minutes of brushing and congratulate them when finished
• Quadrant Timer- Characters tell your child when to move to and brush each quadrant of their mouth (Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right)
• 2 Minute Timer- Characters inform your child when 2 minutes of brushing is up and congratulate them on a job well done. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes.

 

While there are two new talking toothbrushes on the market, we received the Ninja Turtle one; which worked out perfectly for my 3-year-old son, Jace, who is crazy about Ninja Turtles. As soon as it arrived and he saw the box he was ready to brush his teeth. For the record, he has always enjoyed brushing his teeth. Now, he wants to brush his teeth a heck of a lot more! 

 

I love the toothbrush, but I'm pretty sure my son loves it more. It uses the Ninja Turtle voices that actually speak to your child. You turn it on and it tells you where to brush and encourages your child to continue brushing. Then it will tell you to move to another part of the mouth and you continue on until the whole mouth has been brushed. Once your child is done brushing it reminds you to turn off the toothbrush (and will continue to do so so you don't forget). And that's it! 

 

The toothbrush is just a great way to make brushing teeth a much more fun experience for your child and teaches them the proper way to brush and for how long. Overall, it's definitely a great asset to have and well worth the investment - which isn't much since these are pretty affordable!
