How did Detox Water Come to Exist?
Founder, Kenneth Park, has been drinking aloe since his early childhood days and it all stems from his mother. She experienced serious digestive issues and when all recommended medications failed, one doctor suggested trying aloe. Adding aloe water to her diet not only resolved her stomach problems, but also improved her immune response to these on-going stomach pains. After realizing the plethora of benefits she experienced from ingesting aloe, Ken’s mother shared her aloe smoothies with the rest of her family. Every morning with breakfast, she would serve her delicious aloe-filled smoothies blended with fruits, and yogurt to neutralize the plant’s naturally bitter taste. detoxwater™ is essentially a re-launch of the business Kenneth started in his dorm room at Babson College. In 2012, he created Superleaf Organic Aloe Juice and sold cases on campus, juggling classwork and business. We call it experimental because the product was created for the sole purpose of learning major aspects of the beverage business. Superleaf turned out to be quite successful with the handful of accounts with strong recurring orders from retailers. However, the initial Superleaf drink was a similar variation of existing aloe drinks on the market, which did not deliver all the potential health benefits of truly bioactive aloe vera. With the strategic partnership and support from Aloecorp, Ken was able turn his private-label import business into a truly, bioactive aloe water that is organic, vegan, kosher, and now proudly made in the USA.

So Detox Water was kind to send me their mixed water package so I could try all three flavors; Mangaloe Mango, Original Lychee & white grass, and Pinamint pineapple & mint. I think my favorite of the three is the Mango, however, they all are surprisingly delicious! They all have a cool refreshing taste with a hint of their mentioned flavors. What I love about these, aside from their amazing taste, is that they support digestive health, nutrient absorption, promotes skin health, and promotes immune & antioxidant defense. Before drinking, I highly recommend putting these in the refrigerator first as they taste best ice cold. Once they start getting at room temperature I put it back in the refrigerator as they are not too good outside of being cold. One thing a lot of people forget is that when you`re looking to loose weight, you need to look at your health as well. Having a bad digestive system can certainly play a role as to why you`re not losing weight. So no, this is not a weight loss product. Let that be clear. However, this has a lot of benefits to it. When my drinks arrived, I started drinking them along with my diet tea I`ve been drinking. I found the detox water has helped keep me hydrated, but it sort of works hand in hand with my tea because it is aiding with the direction. Since drinking it, i`m noticing a lot less acid reflux with foods that often times bring it on. Now, maybe that`s just a coincidence, however, it`s still a plus regardless. I also found it`s pretty hydrating after playing around outside in the heat. I live in the South so we`ve been in the 80`s already (you don`t want to know about the summer temperatures!) and a nice cold detox water feels refreshing after being out in that heat and feels like it quickly replenishes you. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with the detox water. It tastes great, has great benefits and so far has given me no reason to complain. Want to try it for yourself?
