February Book of the Month Subscription Box #Review
Guess what?! Book of the Month has revamped their site! Previously, members selected their books after reading essays written by our panel of judges. Going forward, members will choose books using their newly-designed product pages—which include quick takes, icons, member reviews, and more. Plus, In celebration of Black History Month, Book of the Month is highlighting books by black authors, in particular, our February extra, Salvage the Bones by National Book Award Winner and 2017 Book of the Year Finalist Jesmyn Ward. Members can add this book to their boxes for only $9.99 and see our full collection when they add an extra book to their box.

How it works: Members will pay $14.99 when they sign up for a subscription that will renew monthly. They'll also receive a credit for a free book at the time of this transaction (redeemable at any time). Then they'll be renewed at the end of their second month (unless they cancel).
For my first Book of the Month Subscription Box I received three books: The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, Still Me by Jojo Moyers, and The Broken Girls by Simone St James. Here's a little bit of info on each:
The Great Alone
Following a shattering tour in the Vietnam War, Ernt Allbright attempts a fresh start by moving his family to Alaska, where they encounter old demons and new challenges on the last American frontier.
Still Me
Seeking adventure, a young British woman takes a job working for a family in New York and soon discovers the meaning of rich people problems (and a little romance, too!).
The Broken Girls
When journalist Fiona Sheridan searches for clues to her sister's murder at a haunted boarding school, her digging uncovers more deaths and secrets buried long ago.
I have just started reading my books and so far so good. However, my review is not particularly about the books, but the subscription box itself of Book of the Month club. I loved the presentation of everything. You can watch my unboxing in the YouTube video above that I made. I felt everything was nicely presented to me. I love how the books were in plastic wrapping which helps protect them from the weather in the event the box were to get damaged during transit. Luckily, the box is sturdy and would have to take a real beating for that to be an issue. Plus, as an added bonus, since it was my first box, they included a very nice quality canvas bag!
The books themselves were very nice quality. I love that they were all hardcovers and full edition books. No paperbacks or cheaply done product at all. You will notice that each book does have a book jacket as well, however, there was no summary of information on the back of the book jacket as you would find if you were to have purchased these from a book store. There is also a Book of the Month logo branding on the cover as well. Aside from those two details, the books are all in excellent, brand-new, condition as if you were to have purchased them from a bookstore directly.
Overall, it was certainly a wonderful experience and it's an excellent subscription box for someone who enjoys reading.
P.S. - New members can get their first month free with code YESPLZ at checkout.
