The hustle and bustle of the winter holiday season is upon us! Christmas is just around the corner, which means a calorie overload is not far off. While we can't help in reducing the calorie count in yams or cranberry sauce, we can give you some ideas on low-calorie, festive drinks to serve!
Using Cascade Ice's line of flavorful and refreshing sparkling waters, we've whipped up these drinks to enjoy while appetizers are served. Cascade Ice is calorie-free, gluten-free, sodium-free and caffeine-free, so your waistline won't suffer!
- Cranberry Kiss Cocktail - Get in the holiday spirit with this refreshing drink! To mix, use 3oz of Cascade Ice Cranberry Pomegranate, 2oz of ginger ale and 2oz of gin. Stir the contents in your shaker with a handful of ice and garnish with sprig of cranberries and mint.
- Berrylicious Blend- Try this Cascade Ice blend for a berry-charged treat. Throw your favorite berries into a glass and slightly muddle the berries to release the fresh flavors. Pour 5oz of Cascade Ice Wild Berry on top of ice and top with another handful of fresh berries to garnish.
- Raspberry and Lemon Sparkler - Give your guests a citrus kick with this tasty cocktail. Mix 6oz of Cascade Ice Raspberry Lemonade with a handful of ice, fresh raspberries and lemon wedges. To make this an adult beverage, add 1oz of your favorite vodka.
I'm a huge fan of Cascade Ice as I've been drinking them for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE it! While it doesn't replace my bad habit of drinking sodas, it's definitely refreshing and great tasting and fizz that you look for when drinking sodas. Not to mention are a much healthier alternative.
Cascade Ice has a fresh, quality taste, unlike other sparkling water type drinks where you can actually TASTE the flavor they are representing - not a watered down hint of a flavor. You can even make your own unique flavor by combining flavors to make a new one. You can mix with other drink mixes too for another unique drink. I actually mixed one with an energy drink and it was pretty darn good! Of course, you can see the above recipes for some other ideas as well. I actually like trying the cascade ice flavors mixed with sparkling white grape juice - yum! Basically, you have a variety of endless options to choose from to make something totally unique to your taste buds.
While you can drink them at room temperature, I find that they taste best chilled right out the fridge. My favorite of the new flavors I received is the cherry limeade. It was O-M-G addicting! Not only are they great to drink, as a parent I feel so much better allowing my children to drink this than trying to drink sodas. Finally, a drink the whole family can enjoy with horrible health risks!
