It can be extended out to be used as a selfie stick or you can also use it as a tripod for your phone. It will work for both Android and Apple phones. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra and it held it just fine without any issues.
Once you have your phone in place, just pair it with your Bluetooth and you're able to press the button on the attached remote to take your photos and videos! It takes less than a minute to pair and I had no connection issues. You can even detach the remote and set it up as a tripod, walk over to be in the photo while holding the remote, and take photos in that manner as well!
Overall I am very pleased with this particular selfie stick and tripod. It is compact in size so it is easy to store away when not in use or to carry in a purse or bag when traveling. It also functioned without issue for me. I feel it is definitely worth the investment - especially if you enjoy taking pictures!
