This is part 2 of a 3 part post. We agreed, with Chewy, to try out the
Nutro Wild Frontier Woodland Trail Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food for Scooby for 1 month to see how it goes for her and our family. You can read my first post
here on our initial reactions to the food. Now, I want to give a little update.
It`s been 10 days since first trying the food. As I`ve said many times before, Scooby is
not a fan of dry food. I`ve had plenty she`s tried and eaten when she`s gotten desperate, but no real luck finding dry food she enjoys. So I wasn`t too hopeful on this food. Sure, the first day she took some bites, but I honestly expected it to end there. Well, I saw wrong. For the past 10 days, I have been waking up and noticing an empty or near empty food bowl. Scooby has been eating her dry dog food. Normally, the way she eats it, this bag could last me possibly a whole year (yea, she`s that bad with trying to avoid the dog food and trying to get table food). Looking at her, though, you wouldn`t know it. She`s a very healthy weight and very active. I have been giving her 1 scoop of food per day using an old plastic cup that Raising Canes gives out during the football season. That lasts her roughly one day, maybe a day and a half. While she doesn`t gobble down the food like other dogs I`ve owned in the past, this is excellent for her. As a pet parent, it makes me happy to find a food she finally truly enjoys.
On top of her eating and enjoying the food, it seems she is having a nicer looking coat rather than just a tough scruffy sort of coat. It`s not a big noticeable difference, but if you are around her all the time, you can see it. Another plus is that she seems to be making healthier stools when she goes to the bathroom. I never realized there would be any difference, so I`m pretty impressed with what a good quality food can do.
Overall, I have to say, we are super thrilled with how the food trial is going and hope to see continued progress in her eating habits, pottying, and fur.

With the lack of customer service these days this is certainly a heart-felt type thing.
