Having 11 cats, not all of them always agree on treats and toys. This, however, was definitely a nice one to add to the collection. This was yet another successful item we found on chewy and let me tell you why:

 

The first thing I noticed was that the SlimCat Interactive cat feeder was high-quality. I mean it was well constructed and didn't easily fall apart as similar products have. We have tried that adorable little mouse one from Friskies and unfortunately, the head would never stay on. One swat and it was off and lost. So we had given up on it. This one, the pieces seem to stay together and hold up well. It has yet to fall apart under the pressure of the cats swatting it and even the dog taking a go at it trying to steal the cats treats! It's a hard sturdy type plastic, not flimsy cheaply made feeling type stuff. The bottom line is that this was well constructed and seems like it was made to last for more than one round!

Unlike other designs where the hole are already cut out, this and the treats can easily come out, this was designed a slight bit differently. You still have the part that you twist to pour the treats in, but in the mid-section of the ball, you are actually able to twist that allows you open or close the openings. You can even have them just partly opened to make it a bit more challenging if you want! There are no sharp or pointy edges so it's still completely safe. It just makes it more challenging so your pet will ultimately exercise and work for the treat! Also, you can put a good amount of treats in there, not just a few little pieces. This is perfect for homes, such as mine, with multiple cats so everyone has a chance to get a treat.

 

 

Needless to say, this was a pleasant experience for the cats. They had a lot of fun swatting the ball around to get their reward as well as swatting at the dog who kept getting in the way. For the price, I definitely think it is worth investing in for your pet(s)!
