As a stay at home, homeschooling mom, I am always looking for ways to save money. I mean however we can save - I`m in. I`ve heard of various brand coupon books and such, but
SaveAround was a new one for me. I was lucky to be able to check them out and here`s what I learned...

What`s nice about this couponing book is that it also has an app. The app is free to download, however, you will need a special access code if you want to be able to save the coupons. So you get the advantage of paper coupons out the book, then you get mobile coupons, which can be emailed or sent to a printer, from the app. So it`s nice to have both; especially if you`re out and make a stop you weren`t planning on. Then you can search to see if a coupon is available and take advantage of using it if it is.
For me, since I live in Louisiana, I have 2 different book editions to choose from:
Of course, they offer books in more than 200+ markets in both the United States and Canada. You can see the various options available to you by going

For my book, it`s double sided. One side is specifically for the New Orleans area, but when I flip it, the coupons are for the national edition. I love that it has coupons for both local chains and national chains. So I can find coupons for local delights such as Bud`s Broile, Voo Doo BBQ, Smashburger, etc. While on the national side I can get coupons for places such as Papa Johns, Stein Mart, Michaels, Payless, etc.
Unlike typical coupons from your sunday paper, these coupons have a longer life to them. They`re good until the end of the year - not just a week long coupon. I love that. I can`t tell you how many times I wanted to take advantage of a coupon and either forgot about it or the coupon was only available during a time I financially wasn`t in a position to spend anything extra. Talk about frustrating! The coupons are all placed on preferated pages; making them easy to tear out as well.
While flipping through the book I found a LOT of coupons I plan to use for places I typically enjoy. Other coupon books only have a few coupons with small discounts. So while this coupon book is smaller than others I have tried, I found it has better value as far as the coupons go. Better stores and a higher value - at least for places that I enjoy. For example, Subway offers a few BOGO deals on sub meals. My husband and I love Subway and are on an extremely tight budget so these will most likely be the first to go out this book; at least for lunches!
Needless to say I am pretty pleased with the book and the app. Both are easy to use and I highly recommend giving SaveAround a try if you haven`t already!
