For anybody that knows me, knows I love subscription boxes/packages of all sorts. That's why I was too excited to check out Basic Man. Of course, this one was for my husband, not me.

 

Why over complicate things? Buying underwear isn't a top priority and you have things to do. Basic MAN makes your life easier, we take care of this for you. All you have to do is tell us your sizes and pick a plan. Then you get to sit back and relax, we'll send you the items below for under $20 a month. Simple. 

 

 

So this subscription box (bag) was different than what I normally get. Why? I actually learned something and this one was for the husband. Apparently, clothes has an expiration date?!? Apparently, you really shouldn't be keeping that cesspool of fabric you call underwear for over a year. Other brands charge you an arm and a leg for "premium" underwear that they claim lasts longer. Well, who cares? Your underwear is like a kitchen sponge, and even if you wash them regularly, they retain bacteria and other gross things. Unlike other brands, Basics have expiration dates so you know when you should dispose of them. I mean, honestly, who knew?! Most men (and probably women if I were to be honest), keep their underwear for around 5 or more YEARS! I mean, I have been guilty of this as well. To me, hey, I washed it, it's not falling apart, so it must be good - right? Apparently I have been wrong and it almost scares me! 

 

 

What I love, is that Basic MAN is affordable. It's only $19.99 per month and the fact that that you can see when you should toss the clothing is pretty nice. The thing is, my husband is worse than me. I notice a slight bit of destruction and that article of clothing is gone. My husband, on the other hand, tends to wait until the hole is way beyond noticeable and even then I have to make it magically disappear. With a regular monthly subscription, though, he won't miss it when I toss it!

 

Now, as far as the quality goes, their stuff is amazing! I was surprised to find the shirt, the socks, and the underwear to be super soft with a nice quality material. It didn't feel cheap at all. I mean, subscription boxes can be great, but I've come across a few that use cheap materials. That was not the case here. Everything was of nice quality. Even better was that the sizing is also accurate. Needless to say, the experience with Basic MAN was a wonderful, educational one and definitely a subscription package worth checking out!
