When the weather gets hot, and you need something refreshing, this Iced Matcha Latte delivers.
We love matcha. Actually, that’s a gross understatement. We are obsessed with Matcha. It’s the perfect refreshing pick-me-up in the summer. There’s good reason for it. After all, while coffee has its own benefits, matcha arguably has better ones.
First off, Matcha green tea is a powdered form of traditional green tea. It is made from green tea leaves, so you’re essentially drinking the tea leaves, rather than seeping them in water as you would otherwise. This is usually done by mixing the powder in with water or milk, then whisking together to form the drink!
Matcha naturally contains catechines, EGCG, and tannins, in addition to caffeine and amino acids. Vibrant green in color, Matcha tea has a pleasing aroma and a rich full-bodied taste.
What makes this matcha even better? The addition of manuka honey! Honey has its benefits as a natural sweetener, so you can get a little flavor boost without any penalties.
The Recipe
