Relaxation is yours.
Between racing thoughts, work-related stress, or plain old bouts of restlessness, relaxing is now seen as a tropical vacation destination rather than a normal part of our daily routine.
To be frank, it isn't great.
In fact, we've touched on this a few times and the causes that lead to getting less than the ideal amount of it. While that previous article gave a physical way to relax..this article provides an edible solution. Which is our favorite kind.
That is by way of a lavender bedtime latte.
Sure, it may seem weird to drink flowers, but we promise you that after you have a cup of this and ease yourself to bed, you won't think that again.
Lavender is intrinsically relaxing thanks to its aroma. In aromatherapy, it is known to calm the spirits, relax the mind, and leave the body in a serene state. So imagine drinking a soothing latte that smells like lavenders, and tastes like a floral tea. It's great.
Ready to get your body to bed? Here's how to make the lavender latte:
Lavender Love Latte
For this recipe, you will need -
- Dried Lavender Flowers
- Almond Milk (You may use regular if you prefer)
- Maple Syrup
- .5 Cup Hot Water
- Tea infuser
In order to make, you will have to -
Add dried lavender flowers to your tea infuser. Let sit in a mug filled halfway with hot water. Steep for 4 minutes. Remove infuser from the cup.
Add .5 cup Almond Milk into a frother (or make your own) and get the milk fluffy.
Pour the milk into the lavender infused water.
Mix together and stir in the maple syrup -- Enjoy!
Note: You may add some whipped cream for taste, and garnish with dried lavender on top!
