While Halloween as a kid was meant to celebrate scares and collect a gigantic amount of sweets; Halloween as an adult trends towards being more relaxed. While we're still very much for a sugary treat to embrace the day, another way you can get your seasonal spook on is by use of the Face Masks.
Today we're bringing you two Face Mask recipes that can be used together. They bring out the best in one another. You use one to prep your skin, clearing away the gross bits from the day, and the other to help soothe as well as moisturize it.
The greatest part? We've made them Halloween themed! So they aren't boring clear, or white toned face masks. They're black and orange, since you know, we need to get in the scary mood, right?
Haunted Cloak Charcoal Face Mask
This mask is great to use as an exfoliator, to clean your pores and give your skin a rejuvenated feeling.
What You Need:
+ A ceramic bowl
+ 1 tbsp. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (heated, so it's melted)
+ 1 tsp. Activated Charcoal (or 1 opened capsule of Activated Coconut Charcoal 260 mg)
How To Make:
Note: We suggest using gloves for this mask, since the charcoal can be a pain to wash off the hands.
In the bowl, mix together the two ingredients to form a paste.
Once this is done, apply to face with gloves on or a facial brush.
Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse off with a foaming cleanser to ensure no charcoal remains.
Enjoy your squeaky (or should we say spooky?) clean skin!
