Wow! If this cat litter didn't arrive just in time! We have a house with 11 cats (that's what happens when you volunteer with a cat rescue group!). So litter changing happens frequently and scooping happens daily. We try to use a couple of different litter brands so that way there's "something for everyone" which helps reduce using outside the litter box in a multi-cat household. So I was definitely on board to try a new litter.

 

It was that time to change boxes again when the litter arrived today so I cleaned out the box as usual and poured in the new litter. Basically, I didn't find it as anything "special"for the brand, but I can tell you that it certainly works for my multi-cat household. Let me explain. I usually try to get the fragrance sort of litter to really keep things smelling fresh. This litter did not have any additional fragrances for that fresh-smelling aroma. However, it didn't smell like the stinky cheap litter either. It's just a neural litter - plain and simple. As usual, as soon as the litter

 

As usual, as soon as the litter hit the box the cats were lined up to put it to good use. Normally I get a good wiff of the odors when they go "number two" in the box, but with this litter, despite lacking a fresh fragrance, seemed to lock in the odor and I didn't smell anything. And no, my nose is not stuffed up either!

 

My only complaint is how heavy the litter is. I mean it's 40 pounds and for the price, it's a great deal. But as someone who isn't very strong, I had trouble lifting it and pouring it. I mean I got it, but just barely. The plastic bagging makes it more compact to store compared to a bucket, but it's also a bit more difficult to handle. Plus, you have to be careful because the bags easily busy and rip open. In fact, my 1st bag busted open in delivery, but Chewy was amazing and sent a replacement right away. What I loved about that experience was that Chewy took the time to get the lot number of the bag and additional information about what happened so they could prevent this from happening in future shipments! So while it may be frustrating to receive a damaged item, the fact they want to know information so they can better package your products is a huge plus to me. Most companies just send a replacement and don't bother trying to improve shipping methods.

 

So overall, it's a great litter, great price, and locks in odor. I have no complaints other than my lack of strength! Highly recommended!
